SWEGOLD - 5 night Escorted Tour from £750pp

This is always one of our most sought after tours as it's a fantastic way to experience a truly unique motor sport event. With our Escorted Tour we will take you to the very best of the spectacular high-speed action with visits to the Super Special Stage, Shakedown, Service Area, Ceremonial Start and several of the Rally Stages where the cars will reach speeds approaching 200km/h on the snow and ice!

The new WRC cars in 2017 provided a spectacle not seen since the height of the Group 'B' era with stage time records smashed throughout the weekend! The new Service Area in Torsby along with even more 'snow-sure' stages well to the North of Karlstad are likely to feature again in 2018. Because of these changes we have decided to stay once again at our popular Scandic hotel in Arvika. This has been well received by our Guests over the past 5 years, and works well as a central 'hub' for the rally.

PLEASE NOTE: AS THE 2018 RALLY DATE IS NOT YET CONFIRMED YOU CAN RESERVE YOUR PLACE(S) ON THIS TOUR WITH A £100pp REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. ONCE THE RALLY DATE IS CONFIRMED YOU CAN EITHER CANCEL & RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT BACK, OR CONTINUE WITH THE BOOKING BY PAYING A FURTHER £100pp DEPOSIT.

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 1 (Wednesday, 2018 Date TBC)

2018 timings and dates are to be confrmed but, usually our coach transfer will depart from Oslo Gardemoen (OSL) airport at 17:00 on the Wednesday. The journey to the Scandic Hotel in Arvika, through the stunning winter scenery, should take around 3 hours. We will be staying at the comfortable Scandic Arvika for the duration of the tour. The hotel is located in the middle of Arvika and features a popular restaurant, bar, a small indoor swimming pool and basic spa facilities.

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 2 (Thursday, 2018 Date TBC)

Morning departure to the Shakedown stage to see the cars undertaking their 3 or more 'test' runs, and a great chance to see the cars in action at full speed! Following the Shakedown Stage we will visit the Service Area and in 2016 we even found time to visit Petter Solberg's WRX workshop, including a tour by the legend himself!

In the evening there will be a transfer to the Ceremonial Start & the popular Super-Special Stage in Karlstad where almost all of the track including the bridge/jump can be seen from the spectator vantage points. The stage is held in the dark but floodlighting around the arena helps create a fantastic atmosphere for this first competitive stage.

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 3 (Friday, 2018 Date TBC)

The first full competitive day of the rally usually sees us heading North-West from our hotel into Norway for 2 or 3 rally stages. Some are likely to be new again in 2018, others will be part-new or run in the opposite direction to previous years! In 2017 we also took time out for a lunch break at Finnskogen and visited the WRC Service area at Torsby in the early evening!

At the end of the day we will return to the warmth of our hotel in Arvika to catch up on all the days action & swap stories over a cold beer, a hot meal or maybe a hotter still sauna!

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 4 (Saturday, 2018 Date TBC)

Saturday is most years all about the legendary 'Colins Crest' stage (Vargasen), and we will plan as always to visit this most iconic of WRC viewing areas (see photo). The spectacular jump is one of the most famous challenges in the WRC & is named after the legendary Colin McRae.

We expect to see 2-3 stages on this middle day of the rally in 2018 and perhaps an evening visit to the WRC Service Area for our optional VIP experiences with the M-Sport & Hyundai WRC Teams!

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 5 (Sunday, 2018 Date TBC)

We've been taking tour groups to Rally Sweden for many years now so we were delighted to see that the epic Likenas Stage had returned to the rally itinerary for 2017. The stage is an old Swedish Rally classic and we got up early to be there for both of it's runs, including Sebastien Ogier's untimely excursion into a snowbank on the morning running! After the 2nd run through the stage our tour 'hotfooted' down to Torsby in time to see the Powerstage (making it all 3 stages visited on this final day!) and the emotional podium celebrations at the adjacent Service Area, where we witnessed WRC Legend Tommi Makinen greeting the winning Toyota and an ecstatic Jari-Matti Latvala.

2018 Provisional Tour Itinerary - Day 6 (Monday, 2018 Date TBC)

There's no better way to finish off a rally tour then enjoying some good food (and drink perhaps!) in the company of like-minded Rally Fans on the Sunday evening. We try not to depart too early on a Monday morning bearing that in mind...

Monday morning sees our return transfer to Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) airport with a planned arrival there for 13:00.
